It is very rare that Hockey is cancelled and of those times, wind chill and extreme weather conditions are reasons hockey can be called off.  Cancellations will be posted on our Facebook and Instagram pages by 2pm on weekdays & by 7am on Saturdays. To get cancellation alerts directly to your phone, download the Hawkes Bay Hockey app through Google Play for Android, or the App Store on Apple products

​​​​​​​Unison Hockey Stadium

The only Junior Hockey grade that has a goalie is the Kiwi Sticks Yr 5 & 6 half field grade, and this is an optional addition.

The Small Sticks grades are as follows:

Mini Sticks – For Yr 3 & 4 players and is played on a 1/4 field, with no goalkeeper

Kiwi Sticks Development – For Yr 5 & 6 players who are new to hockey and is played on a 1/4 field, with no goalkeeper

Kiwi Sticks – For Yr 5 & 6 players and is 6-a-side played on a 1/2 field plus an optional padded goalkeeper

Kwik Sticks - For Yr 7 & 8 players and is 7-a-side played on 1/2 field

Cape Physio turf at Park Island is on your left when you come through the gate.

Big Save turf at Park Island on your right when you come through the gate.

UHS stands for the Unison Hockey Stadium and that is located at the Hastings Sports park on Percival Road, Hastings.
